1. Overview

Welcome to RoleSage.

RoleSage is a platform designed to improve hiring for both sides of the market by helping candidates present evidence-based profiles and enabling hirers to make better, fairer decisions.

By using RoleSage, you agree to these Terms.

If you do not agree, please do not use the platform.

Our public Corporate Charter Mission explains why RoleSage exists and the principles that guide how we build the company. It does not replace these Terms or create separate contractual rights or obligations.

2. Who We Are

RoleSage is operated by Mark Wallis, a sole trader doing business as RoleSage (“RoleSage”, “we”, “us”, or “our”).

We provide the RoleSage platform, an AI-assisted candidate management and hiring workflow service.

3. Eligibility

You must:

  • Be at least 16 years old (or legal minimum in your country)
  • Provide accurate information
  • Use the platform lawfully

You are responsible for your account and activity.

4. Your Account

You agree to:

  • Keep your login details secure
  • Not impersonate others
  • Not create fake or misleading profiles

We may suspend or terminate accounts that violate these terms.

5. Your Data & Content

You retain ownership of the content you submit, including:

  • Profile information
  • Activities and skill evidence
  • Responses to hirer questions

By using RoleSage, you grant us a license to:

  • Store and process your data
  • Display it to relevant users (e.g. hirers when you apply)
  • Use it to improve the platform (including AI features), consistent with our Privacy Policy and public mission commitments

We do not sell your personal data.

6. How Your Data Is Used

RoleSage processes your data to:

  • Match candidates to roles
  • Provide insights and recommendations
  • Improve hiring outcomes

Some features use AI to:

  • Analyze profiles
  • Suggest improvements
  • Generate insights

You remain responsible for reviewing and confirming your information.

7. Privacy

Your use of RoleSage is also governed by our Privacy Policy.

We are committed to:

  • Minimizing unnecessary data collection
  • Providing transparency
  • Supporting fair and ethical use of AI

8. Acceptable Use

You agree not to:

  • Provide false, misleading, or fraudulent information
  • Harass, discriminate, or abuse others
  • Attempt to reverse engineer or exploit the platform
  • Use bots or automation without permission

9. Hiring & Decisions Disclaimer

RoleSage:

  • Does not guarantee employment or hiring outcomes
  • Provides decision-support tools, not decisions

All hiring decisions are made by hirers.

10. Payments (if applicable)

For paid features:

  • Prices are clearly displayed before purchase
  • Pricing may change with notice

Employer subscriptions renew for the selected monthly or annual billing period until cancelled. A customer with billing authority can cancel online from the RoleSage Billing page in either of these ways:

  • End of the current paid term: subscription access and in-progress openings continue until the displayed term-end date. No further renewal is charged and no refund is issued because the paid service remains available for the rest of that term. Any openings still in progress when the term ends are closed.
  • Immediately: the subscription ends immediately and in-progress openings are closed immediately. For a monthly subscription, RoleSage refunds the latest monthly subscription payment in full. For an annual subscription, the latest annual subscription payment is divided into 12 equal subscription-month portions: each fully completed subscription month is non-refundable, while the partially completed current subscription month and every later month are refundable. A subscription month is completed on each monthly anniversary of the annual term start date. For example, if 10 full subscription months have elapsed, 2/12 of the annual payment is refunded.

Cancelling a subscription does not delete the employer workspace, users, roles, candidates, hiring history, or unused opening credits. The workspace returns to credit-based hiring. Publishing a new opening, or reopening an opening closed because subscription entitlement ended, requires one opening credit unless the employer subscribes again.

Credit purchases and candidate lifetime purchases are non-refundable for change of mind unless a separate displayed offer says otherwise. Nothing in these Terms excludes, restricts, or modifies consumer guarantees, refund rights, or other remedies that cannot lawfully be excluded under the Australian Consumer Law or another applicable law.

Founding or promotional offers may include special terms.

11. Platform Availability

We aim for high availability but do not guarantee:

  • Uninterrupted service
  • Error-free operation

We may:

  • Update or modify features
  • Temporarily suspend the platform for maintenance

12. Intellectual Property

RoleSage owns:

  • The platform
  • Design, branding, and technology
  • AI systems and models (excluding your data)

You may not copy or redistribute the platform without permission.

13. Termination

You may stop using RoleSage at any time.

We may suspend or terminate access if:

  • These Terms are violated
  • There is misuse or abuse of the platform

14. Liability

To the extent permitted by law:

  • RoleSage is provided “as is”
  • We are not liable for indirect or consequential losses
  • Our total liability is limited to the amount paid (if any)

15. Fair Use & Ethics

RoleSage is built on principles of:

  • Fairness
  • Transparency
  • Trust, dignity, and evidence
  • Better hiring outcomes

We actively work to:

  • Reduce bias
  • Improve signal quality in hiring
  • Support both candidates and hirers

Our mission is to maximize human flourishing by helping talent and opportunity find each other with trust, dignity, and evidence. These principles guide the platform, but they do not guarantee any specific employment, hiring, financial, or platform outcome.

16. Changes to These Terms

We may update these Terms.

If changes are significant, we will:

  • Notify users
  • Update the “Last updated” date

Continued use means acceptance.

These Terms are governed by the laws of: NSW, Australia
